Celebrating  Palestinian Independence

On Thursday 19th November there was a procession of all the official bodies of Palestine, including the police, the fire-fighters and the school pupils through the streets of  Nablus city centre.  This procession was intended to be a celebration of the traditional day of Palestine Independence on the 15th November.  On this day the Palestinians remember the declaration of independence made by the PLO in 1988 at the end of a conference held in Algiers.
